About Us
Who are we?
Founded in April 2013 by a team of doctors and university executives, the Médecins de Miséricorde Foundation (MEMI) is a charitable organization and a humanitarian non-governmental organization (NGO) committed to the protection and support of vulnerable people.
We pay particular attention to orphaned children and marginalized young mothers (14 to 25 years old), often facing situations of precariousness and social exclusion.
Our commitment
🔹 Mission: To be as close as possible to children in distress and young mothers, by offering them comprehensive support to rebuild their future.
🔹 Vision: A fairer world, without discrimination, where each vulnerable individual regains their dignity and autonomy.
Our areas of intervention
✅ Health & Nutrition: Free medical care via mobile clinics, reproductive health support, home visits and psychosocial monitoring.
✅ Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH): Awareness raising and concrete actions for access to drinking water and improving sanitary conditions.
✅ Education & Training: Access to schooling, literacy and vocational training to promote autonomy.
✅ Protection & Human Rights: Fight against gender-based violence and support for survivors.
✅ Community development: Economic empowerment programs and socio-professional integration of beneficiaries.
